At O.B. Whaley, every student is supported to grow, no matter where they start. With caring teachers, regular check-ins, and extra help when needed, children build stronger reading and math skills—and parents can feel confident they’re moving forward every day.

We believe a strong foundation begins early. Our Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten programs give young learners a warm, supportive start. Through small group instruction and engaging classroom routines, students build early reading and math skills in a nurturing environment that encourages curiosity and growth.

Many of our students are learning English, and we give them the support they need to thrive. Teachers provide daily lessons that build vocabulary, conversation, reading, and writing skills. With small group instruction and progress checks throughout the year, students gain confidence and improve their English as they learn in all subjects..

We’re proud to offer a vibrant Visual and Performing Arts dance program at O.B. Whaley Elementary. Led by a full-time dance teacher, all students enjoy fun, energetic dance classes during the school day. Dance builds confidence, creativity, and teamwork making learning fun at every grade level. 

Parents are valued partners in their child’s learning at O.B. Whaley. We invite families to be involved through our Three-Way Pledge, parent meetings, and community events. With bilingual support, a family food pantry, and a school clothes closet, we work together to create a safe, inclusive space where every family feels welcome and supported.
